It seems that “family” can be taken in two ways here: the family you grew up with (mom, dad, siblings) and the family you start yourself (spouse, children). So I think that, we have a “family”, or we call it “home”, including mom, dad, siblings and me since we were born. Then, with growing up, after we get married and have a baby, we have another, including you, your spouse, children.
However, for orphans, maybe they don’t have the former, but can have the latter and thus a notion of home. When they become an adult, they will get married and build their own family, home.
Furthermore, what of the people that has neither type of family? Are they, in the broad and philosophical sense of the word, homeless?
How do you define the home? What is home in your opinion? Home can is a shelter when I am tired. Home can bring us hope when we feel helpless. It can provide you rich foods when you are hungry, and provide you beverage or tea, water when you are thirty.
